HBO's Succession is coming back for a second season and bringing with it even more Roy family drama to viewers' televisions.
The Emmy-nominated show premiered in 2018 for its first season and introduced viewers to Logan Roy, the owner of a media conglomerate, and his four adult children. Through the 10-episode season, fans watched as the family dealt with health scares, sibling quarrels and power grabs, ultimately culminating in what seemed to be a reconciliation, albeit a slightly coerced one.
If the trailer's indicative of what's to come, season two will deliver the same level of drama that drew fans to the show in the first place. As Logan works to expand his empire, Shiv, Roman and Kendall, the three children he had with his second wife, seemingly compete for the top spot at the company.
'We're coming up to the finishing line, cut the horse shit, know your roles and remember, money wins,' Logan said at the end of the trailer.
Actor Sarah Snook, who portrays Shiv, said this season was the first time there was a 'level playing field' for the siblings to compete for the top job. While Kendall deals with the loss of his professional ambitions, Roman, known for being the fun-loving jokester, will attempt to prove he can handle the responsibility.
The fourth sibling, Connor Roy, who is the son of Logan and his first wife, said in the trailer he was still pursuing a goal he revealed in the first season – to become president of the United States.
Jesse Armstrong, the show's creator, said the season will depict a shift in relationships and the contradictions of the characters.

The third episode of Hard Knocks was arguably the best of the series so far.
From an intriguing insight into what the Oakland Raiders knew about Antonio Brown's helmet controversy, to lifting the lid on the relationship between the wide receiver and head coach Jon Gruden, Episode 3 had plenty of talking points.
As if that wasn't enough, viewers also got treated to a classic NFL feel-good story, as Darren Walker revealed his struggles with substance abuse.
If you can't wait for the next installment of this season of Hard Knocks, here's everything you need to know about the penultimate episode of the series.

What did we learn from Episode 3?
A lot. First and foremost that the Raiders knew about the fiasco surrounding Antonio Brown's helmet way before the story became public. The seven-time Pro Bowler threatened to quit football earlier this month if the NFL insisted on forcing him to wear a different helmet from the one he has used for 10 years.
The fact Brown has used the same helmet—a Schutt Air Advantage—for a decade is the problem in itself. The model has been discontinued and NFL and NFLPA regulations required that all players wear helmets manufactured within a 10-year window.
Brown filed a grievance with the NFL to wear his old helmet and lost, before finding a newer version of his preferred headgear. When he was told the newer model did not meet certain requirements, the wide receiver filed a second grievance with the league.
While the helmet saga has kept Brown more occupied than football, Episode 3 offered an illuminating insight into what coach Jon Gruden thinks of it all.
'I don't know what the story—what the f*****g story is around here,' the Raiders head coach said.
'He's tried everything, really. I give the guy credit for standing up for what he believes in. Everybody else does it in this country.'
While the relationship between Brown and Gruden seems to be blossoming, general manager Mike Mayock is becoming exasperated with the 31-year-old's protracted leave from training camp.
Episode 3 ended with Mayock telling the media it was 'time for him [Brown] to be all-in or all-out'. If it sounds ominous is because it is.
Why has HBO chosen the Raiders?
Because of NFL regulations, teams are exempt from consideration if they have played in the postseason in the past two years or have been the focus of the series in the previous decade. Teams who have a first-year coach are also not considered.
That left HBO with just five franchises to choose from—the Oakland Raiders, New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers, Detroit Lions and the Washington Redskins.
So far, viewers can have few complaints about HBO picking the Raiders.
